What is National Car Check?

National Car Check has been created to help reduce serious injuries and fatalities caused by unsafe vehicles. Working with The NSW Government through the RTA and the NSW Police Service, National Car Check seeks to improve car safety, and minimize the number of unsafe vehicles on our roads.
While annual registration checks identify major safety defects, regular checks by owners help identify minor problems that if ignored can become major or expensive ones.
National Car Check training provides new and experienced drivers with the skills to maintain their vehicles. We will also show you how to identify defects that can be fixed by professional automotive engineers.
National Car Check promotes car safety to students at private schools and through the P&C Associations of NSW public schools. Our instructional coaching is designed not only to be hands on, but importantly fun!
Our training program will benefit school leavers before they sit for a driver's licence and offers a missing link about how to maintain a vehicle before new drivers get behind a steering wheel. For a minimal cost, students (and their families) will be shown essential basic motor vehicle maintenance checks without the boredom of a classroom setting.
The small fee includes training and membership to the National Car Check Club, which provides a monthly e-mail newsletter containing useful information on vehicle safety, driving tips and club activities targeted towards enjoying safe motoring.
Our website will answer FAQs, provide discounts from preferred suppliers and give notice of club events – all designed to raise awareness of the importance of ensuring your vehicle is safe BEFORE you drive, not after you have an accident or mechanical failure. Club members can e-mail us with a question and we will reply with advice.
